Warm forest at noon:
insects and sunlight both
on decaying leaves
Sunlight drifts through leaves
as if to kiss the dead fox
with a father’s love
Late spring Sunday brings
stranger’s fingers down my cheek
from across the sea
Spring moon hidden, dark:
Under tumultuous black waves
Thrown pebbles vanish
Like the waning moon
Peeking from behind dark clouds
Quietly shrinking
Moonlight on blue ice:
No one remains forever
No love eternal
Morning glow alights
softly onto the onsen
delicate, alone
Split golden moonlight:
Sweating under sun:
unusual autumn heat
confuses us all
Lee under shadows:
boughs conceal the worst of her
under these cedars
