Words queued for release
Fatigue conquers expression
Return underground
Visiting a friend
Feet crunching on frozen snow
I am warmed inside
Loved and well rested
Hearing rain on window panes
I am real again
Cannot leave just yet
Cycles repeat and repeat
So much left unsaid
Words take flight
Despair clouds vision until
With joy they return
Training continues
Persisting reward and spite
Another sunset
Anticipation!
Joy in being remembered
In meeting again
It’s so nice to be recognized and remembered.
Everyone can see
Surely, everyone can see
All my flaws I can’t
I see so many
But surely others can see
All my flaws I’ve missed
Fewer and fewer
Words from shrinking throat and mind
So little of me
Sobbing under stone
Screaming nothings with words doomed
To be forgotten
Grayscale adventures
In another time and place
Lessons to be learned
Well then you could swallow [the moon], and it would all dissolve, see?
It’s a Wonderful Life
And the moonbeams would shoot out of your fingers and your toes and the ends of your hair.
